Hyundai Motor Company has officially launched STARIA, the brand’s new line of general-purpose vehicles (MPVs) to the Middle Eastern and African markets via a digital first.
The name STARIA combines ‘star’ and ‘ria’, referring to the vehicle’s forward-looking product values and streamlined design features defined by curvy-gesture silhouettes as well as clean, pure body volume.
STARIA offers a surprisingly futuristic and mysterious exterior, resembling a spaceship. The front is underlined by a long horizontal daytime running light and headlights placed below.
STARIA is equipped with various driver-centric features and futuristic design elements that deliver new experiences for drivers and passengers that make commuting time more productive and interesting.

STARIA Premium takes mobility to the next level with enhanced functionality and variant exclusive finishes for a more luxurious look and feel. It features an exclusive tinted brass chrome treatment applied to the Hyundai emblem, radiator grille, headlamp bezels, front and rear bumpers, wheels, side mirrors and door handles to emphasize the look. upscale and modern vehicle.
Lowered seat belts and panoramic side windows improve overall visibility and create a feeling of openness. This sense of space – inspired by traditional Korean “hanok” architecture – allows passengers to feel as if the exterior stages are an extension of the interior of the vehicle.
The driver’s seat has a futuristic high-tech look with an advanced 10.25 inch front display screen with the digital cluster located on top of the dashboard, providing a clear view for the driver and giving the driver space superb operability and convenience.
STARIA Premium models receive Hyundai’s unique Parametric Pixel lamp design and top trim. The design theme continues at the rear, with a wide window framed by elongated vertical tail lights. The rear bumper is lowered so that passengers can quickly load and unload cargo.
The 7-seater Premium model is fitted with Premium relaxation seats in the second row that electronically recline and have sliding capabilities for easy access or to maximize cargo space. The individual seats of the Premium 9-seater in the second row can be rotated 180 degrees to face the passengers in the third row.
The flexible seating configuration makes STARIA Premium ideal for corporate vehicles or mobile offices, as passengers can turn their seats around and organize face-to-face meetings. A 64-color mood lamp, available in all STARIA Premium variants, creates a lush interior atmosphere. Harmonious direct and indirect lighting can selectively illuminate the cockpit, console, doors and cargo areas. The Bose sound system further enhances the premium feel.
STARIA has a wheelbase of 3,273mm with an overall length of 5,253mm and a width of 1,997mm, allowing for innovative use of interior space. Its total height of 1,990 mm is optimized so that passengers can get in and out of the vehicle conveniently. The availability of cargo space varies depending on how the seating configurations are arranged.
STARIA offers powertrain options of a 2.2-liter VGT diesel engine and a 3.5-liter Smartstream G6DIII gasoline MPI engine.
The diesel engine has been recently upgraded and mated to a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering an estimated power output of 177 hp and torque of 44 kgf-m. compressor and turbine wheel performance for better low speed torque performance.
The gasoline-powered G6DIII 3.5L MPI is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering an estimated power output of 272 PS and 33.8 kgf-m of torque. Its integrated thermal management system improves fuel efficiency by optimizing coolant temperature control based on vehicle operating conditions.
The aerodynamic upper body design and underbody improvements result in an improved drag coefficient for better fuel economy.
Standard safety equipment includes 3-point seat belts, head restraints and the latest airbag technology to keep everyone on board well protected. Safety in STARIA is further enhanced by smart features such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assistance (FCA), Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assistance (BCA), Exit Assistance Safety (SEA), Intelligent Cruise Control (SCC), Lane Keeping Assist (LFA). ) and lane keeping assistant (LKA).
