The 21-year-old has not made an appearance in competition for the Millers this season, but has been on loan 14 times for NHL north side Gateshead.

The center-back also played for The Heed in their 2019-20 play-off campaign, scoring a key goal in their play-off match at Brackley Town.

After signing the loan, Pools boss Dave Challinor told the club’s website, “Jake is someone we looked at earlier in the season.

“He has a lot of experience for someone still young. We never felt like we replaced Tyler. [Magloire] after he leaves, we are therefore delighted to have Jake come.

“There are injuries in the squad and if he’s called up tomorrow I know Jake can fit in perfectly.”
