Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, renewed their commitment to implement programs aimed at stimulating the economy to create jobs, reduce inequalities and reduce poverty.
The governors made the pledge in a statement titled “60th Anniversary Congratulations with HE Muhammad Yahaya”, signed by the Chairman of the Forum of Progressive Governors and Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Bagudu, in Abuja on Saturday.
Bagudu said, “As we rejoice with HE Muhammad Yahaya, we also reaffirm our collective commitment to implement programs that would strengthen the capacities of our progressive states to create jobs, boost economic activity, reduce inequalities and reduce poverty in Nigeria.
The Progressive Governors Forum also recognized and commended the leadership, vision and commitment of the Governor of Gombe State to a united and prosperous Nigeria.
Bagudu said, “Guided by our party, APC, you have been a constant and selfless contributor to progressive initiatives aimed at developing our states and Nigeria.
“We also recognize your insightful and purposeful contributions to governance management processes in Gombe State.
“As Governor of Gombe State, through all the development initiatives implemented by your PCA-led government, you are a shining light of our politics. “
