The Triumph Bonneville Bobber is one of the most beautiful motorcycles in the modern classic Triumph stable. The 2021 model receives a BS6 compliant engine, a blacked-out look and a few other updates. Engine power remains more or less the same, but is said to be more responsive, with a fuller and smoother torque curve. The 2021 Bonnie Bobber’s styling receives subtle updates in the form of blacked-out engine covers, cam cover and sprocket cover, giving it a brooding and blackened look, which is definitely eye-catching. Then the LED headlight unit with the new daytime running light is also a new unit. The one-pod instrument console gets a new bezel, with a metallic embellisher. The console face has also been updated, to present more information and incorporate warning lights. The multifunction display is controlled by an easily accessible handlebar mounted scroll button. The bike will be available in three colors, a new Matt Storm Gray and Matt Ironstone scheme, a new Cordovan Red scheme and a classic Jet Black option.

Engine Specifications

The new Bonneville Bobber features Triumph’s latest 1,200cc high torque Bonneville parallel twin engine. With a reduction in inertia, the updated motor would provide better response. According to Triumph, the 270-degree ignition interval offers a noticeable rise at 5,500rpm, while maximum torque remains the same as the older generation model, with 106Nm at 4,000rpm, while maximum horsepower is 77bhp at 6100rpm, just a small, bhp boost on the outgoing model. The updated engine is said to offer better fuel efficiency as well.

Features and cycle parts

The 2021 Bobber receives a new 12-liter fuel tank, which offers up to 33% more efficiency. In terms of cycle parts, the bike gets a 47mm front fork and a new 16-inch metal spoke wheel, which is said to be thicker than before. The front end receives twin discs gripped by Brembo two-piston calipers while the rear receives a single disc. The rear suspension consists of a cleverly hidden monoshock and a drum brake-inspired rear hub, giving the bike an authentic hard-tail look. Two-channel ABS is standard, as is the switchable traction control system. Triumph’s sophisticated driving system offers two enhanced driving modes: “Road” and “Rain”. These regulate both throttle response and traction control settings.

The 2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber in Jet Black color is priced at ₹ 11.75 lakh, while the Cordovan red color model is priced at ₹ 11.88 lakh and the Matt Storm Gray and Matt Ironstone color model is priced from ₹ 12.05 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The updated Triumph Bonneville Bobber is available with 77 original accessories, including an alternate high bar setup, luggage and a choice of seating options, with adjustable seating and footrest positions.
